The Mercedes-Benz Tourrider is a luxury motorcoach built for the North American market. It was unveiled at the end of September 2021 and made its debut at the American Bus Association’s Marketplace in January 2022 and the UMA Motorcoach Expo in February 2022. The Tourrider replaced the Setra S 417 TC and Setra S 407 CC sold in North America since 2003 and 2011, respectively.[1]

The Tourrider is available in two versions: Tourrider Business and Tourrider Premium. The Tourrider Business has individual dome headlamps while the Tourrider Premium uses integral headlamps. The shape of the headlamps is the same and both versions are placed on either side of Mercedes-Benz's characteristic grill. The difference in tail lights is also similar with simplified tail lights on the Tourrider Business. The Tourrider Premium in available with a rear window and the Top Sky glass roof.[2]

Inside, the Tourrider Business features the Mercedes-Benz Travel Star Eco seats. The Tourrider Premium features their Travel Star Xtra seats with Luxline upholstery. Both versions are also available with USB sockets as well as 110-volt sockets for charging electronic devices.[2]

An optional radar-based Sideguard Assist cornering assistant with pedestrian detection is available. An Active Brake Assist 5 emergency braking system also features pedestrian detection. It can initiate an automated emergency stop in reaction to both stationary and moving obstacles. A radar-based autonomous intelligent cruise control is standard on the Tourrider Premium.[2]
