The Brookville Liberty is an American low floor, light rail vehicle (LRV). The 20 metre-long LRV is made up of three sections: two raised floor sections over a bogie at either end and a low floor section in the middle. The body is available in two widths: 2.46 or 2.65 metres. The Liberty LRV is able to run off-wire with the use of lithium ion batteries or super capacitors. These are charged when they are connected to power via centenary or induction charging platform.

In 2013, Dallas Area Rapid Transit awarded Brookville the contract to supply two Liberty LRVs for use on their Downtown — Oak Cliff streetcar line. The cars' off-wire capability would be used to traverse the Trinity River via the Houston Street Viaduct.[1] The vehicles were delivered in early 2015. Brookville successfully bid against CAF USA and Inekon for this contract.[2] Dallas exercised their option for two more LRVs in the summer of 2015.

In June 2015, Detroit's M-1 Rail placed an order for six Liberty LRVs for use on the new QLINE streetcar line along Woodward Avenue. Delivery began on September 13, 2016, with the first car arriving in Detroit that evening.[3] Like Dallas's LRVs, the M-1 vehicles are able to travel off-wire. The off-wire portions span each end of the line, north of Ferry Street and south of Sproat Street.[4] Detroit's order was followed by two more orders from Milwaukee and Oklahoma City.

In November 2017, Puget Sound area transit agency Sound Transit placed an order for five Liberty LRVs for their Link T Line extension. The first car was shipped to Tacoma in March 2022. The contract also an option for 5 additional vehicles. [5]
