Photo Quality

Hello, I had to delete a number of photos you recently uploaded as they did not meet the photo quality guidelines; including some where the view of the bus had significant obstructions. There are a number of other photos that were uploaded that would not meet the guidelines; namely those with significant shadows, or that are not cropped properly (bus is off the side of the frame, or is not the main focus). Please remember that the CPTDB Wiki is not meant to be a personal photo gallery, and that photos are only meant to provide a visual example of a bus. Please remember to review the guidelines before uploading additional photos. Thank you for your cooperation! --ArticulatedTalkContrib 22:12, 20 November 2023 (EST)

I just reviewed the photo guidelines and will be sure my photos meet the guidelines. Which specific photos had issues? Thanks!
You can review the list of photos I had to delete in the Deletion log, and I included a note with an explanation for each deleted photo. --ArticulatedTalkContrib 22:24, 20 November 2023 (EST)
I just checked the deletion log. Would "File:New Jersey Transit 6153-a.jpg" (https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/File:New_Jersey_Transit_6153-a.jpg) also be an issue, since the side is not in direct sunlight? Feel free to delete it if there's an issue with it, thanks!

Once again, a significant number of New Jersey Transit photos you have recently uploaded to the Wiki (mostly attributed to "Nick's Bus Garage") do not meet the Photo Quality Guidelines. Major issues with the deleted photos included: significant shadows covering a large portion or all of the bus, blurring, obstructions, and the bus being tilted at a significant angle. I have deleted over a dozen of the most egregious examples, but as the uploading editor it is your responsibility to ensure that any photos being added meet the guidelines. As you have been warned about issues with photo quality less than one year, please note that continued contravention of the guidelines may result in your uploading and editing privileges being removed. --ArticulatedTalkContrib 22:48, 27 October 2024 (EDT)

Thanks for informing me. I will no longer upload photos from "Nick's Bus Garage". I checked the deletion log and some of the photos deleted are quite old (e.g. "File:New Jersey Transit 21331-a.jpg"). To avoid any issues in the future, I will go through photos I've uploaded and note any that may not meet the guidelines. Can I request any photos to be deleted that may not meet the guidelines? Thanks. JLiu1596 13:24, 28 October 2024 (CST)
