  4. Congrats! I know it wasn't easy but you guys made it
  5. I wouldn't rush to do OT during my probation, especially in the first few months as I will be still learning the skills! That is what the HR rep suggested too!
  6. Yes, I got it wrong. They did have training which can be carried over to December. However, no training will be arranged to start in December. If everything goes right, I can finish my training in December. I will give my full efforts to get it done
  7. Thank you for your response. Did they give you time to get yourself familiarize with the routes thou?

  9. Hi, there! I just got the call from HR department of TTC and was told my start date would be November 16 and my mode would be bus at Wilson division. Anybody who has any idea please give me some hesdsup about this division! Thanks a lot for your time
  10. Sept 7 was my medical day. If you haven't heard anything from TPS for two weeks, you might need to go do a fingerprint session. Hope I am wrong
  11. Attended documentation yesterday with 11oyher fellow workers. We were told we would be starting training either in November or January. The HR was super nice and explained almost everything we would need to know
  12. Got it, thank you so much for your heads-up. Very excited to start soon. Also, I am so glad I am finally moving forward to the right direction
  13. Thank you! But don't they usually give two weeks' notice before training starts? If they need me to finish training in November, they will have to let me start training the next day after documentation, which is very unlikely. Unless they want me to start training in mid of November then skip the month of December, resume in January? Is it possible? Can anybody pls clarify this for me?
  14. They won't release this info until they call you in for training
  15. Just got a call from TTC confirming my documentation will be next Tuesday, October 25. She told me it would be possible for me to start this year. But I wonder how they could manage to finish the training within 5 consecutive weeks as there will be no training at all in December. Therefore, my guess is I will have to start next year.
  16. Hi, there Thank you for the heads-up. I just completed my background check and scanned it to my hiring agent. I guess I will have to wait till January to start my training as there will be no training in December as you mentioned. Really been a long wait Larry
  17. I think it is quite normal. You were lucky coz you didn't need to do your fingerprint. I guess it is almost time for you to be called in for documentation.
  18. I am so happy to say I just received my clearance letter from Toronto Police Service. The copy has been scanned to my placement specialist. Hopefully, my case can be processed as normally as everybody else's. It really has been a long wait! Cheers!
  19. Congrats, my friend! I wonder if you live in the east or west end of the city?
  20. 25 bucks an hour, you will work 8hours and only 6 out of 8 hours will count for you working hour. Therefore, 25x6=150/day
  21. Hi, folks! I got two questions to ask and I really hope someone could give me some heads-up. I just did my fingerprint session this morning and I was told it could take up to 120 days for RCMP to get back to me and I would need to deliver the result that comes back to TTC HEADQUARTERS. So my questions are as follows: 1. Did it really take that long for me to receive a clearance letter? What does it usually take? I have never been contacted by police for any offense and I just cant understand why they request everybody that shares the same birthday with somebody that has a criminal record to do the fingerprint! 2. Do I need to scan the result to my placement specialist or personally deliver it to TTC HEADQUARTERS? If so, where should I go? I called and left a message to the guy who drafted my conditional offer but heard no reply yet! I am now in a very very embarrassingly tough situation. As I already told my current boss that I would be leaving( because of the reference check required for the hiring process), my shifts have been royally cut down and my weekly income has also been reduced big time. It seems like there is no time frame for this longer than usaual process to complete. i really appreciate your sharing your experience with me and answering the aboved questions. Thank you
  22. Of course the highest level of education
