Seneca College King Campus is a post-secondary educational institutional and YRT hub located in King City, ON. It is located off of Dufferin St. north of Sideroad 15.
Although not an official terminal, it serves as the terminus for 3 YRT routes, and is a major destination for many students to get to/from their classes at the college.
History
YRT started serving Seneca College in September 2002. 4 routes had rush hour service extended to the campus: 32, 88, 90, and 222 which was a direct shuttle from Newmarket Terminal to the campus via Yonge and southwest Aurora.
Route 32 had full service extended to the campus, but it was later retracted to rush hours only. Route 22 was also added in 2005, providing service from King City and also directly west from Yonge St. and Viva Blue service. At the same time, route 90 was also pulled back from the campus, as passengers could take route 88 instead, however the sign at the terminal currently still says route 90 serves that spot. To compensate, service to the campus increased on route 88, with all-day Monday to Saturday service operates to the campus.
In December 2007, bus 622 caught fire while on layover at Seneca College. The bus was so badly damaged it was retired.
On November 2008, an express branch, route 88E, started service, providing two-way limited-stop service from Finch Station to Seneca College, however the express branch was discontinued in February 2014.
