Route 38 was a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
Route 38 was an express route that ran from northern Orleans to Downtown. Service operated Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (AM peak) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PM peak). Most trips are extended along Jeanne d'Arc and Trim Road to the 174. No AM boarding was allowed at Blair or St.Laurent stations. PM trips started at LeBreton station.
History
June 23rd, 1997
- In the afternoon only, trips will be extended to Place d'Orléans Park & Ride.
September 5th, 2004
- Afternoon trips will be shortened to end at Tenth Line instead of Place dOrléans Park & Ride.
- Afternoon buses will sign “Cumberland”.
April 17th, 2011
- No boarding from Blair Station to Train Station is introduced.
September 4th, 2011
- Some trips were extended along North Service Road and Trim Road to the 174, replacing Route 39.
September 1st, 2013
- Route will be extended along North Service Road on all trips, which will improve access to service for residents.
January 4th, 2015
- Two afternoon trips extended along Jeanne d’Arc to Trim Road
June 28th, 2015
- No service to Lees, Hurdman, Train or Cyrville Stations.
- No service at St-Laurent Station heading east in the afternoon.
December 20th, 2015
- Ends at Albert/Bay in the morning.
- Does not serve Blair Station eastbound in the afternoon.
April 24th, 2016
- Two trips in each direction were extended to Trim Road & Highway 174.
- No service to Campus Station.
December 25th, 2016
- Route is re-branded as local limited service Route 38 in preparations for the launch of the O-Train Confederation Line in 2018.
- Express premium no longer required.
