Route 30 was a bus route operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Route Details

The routing of route 30

Route 30 was a express peak period route that ran from South Orleans (Millennium Station) to Downtown. Service operated Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (AM peak) and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PM peak). No boarding was allowed from Blair Station to Train Station in the AM. PM trips started at LeBreton station.

History

September 4th, 2011

  • Will replace Route 33 and provide new service on Brian Coburn Blvd. (formerly the Blackburn Bypass in Orléans).
  • Buses will operate from Millennium Station via Montmère, Brian Coburn, Mer Bleue and Jeanne d’Arc to downtown.
  • Route will be on temporary detour via Tenth Line and Innes until Brian Coburn is open west of Tenth Line. See also, new all-day Route 130.

September 2nd, 2012

  • Route will be removed from the temporary routing on Tenth Line and Innes east of Mer Bleue. Buses will travel via Brian Coburn west of Tenth Line and on Mer Bleue to Jeanne d'Arc and their regular routing.

September 1st, 2013

  • Additional trips added. Busy trips/runs now being assigned articulated and Double Decker buses.

April 20th, 2014

  • A trip will be added in the morning to reduce overcrowding.

June 28th, 2015

  • No service to Lees, Hurdman, Train or Cyrville Stations.
  • No service at St-Laurent Station heading east in the afternoon.

September 6th, 2015

  • New earlier westbound trip starting at 5:32 AM will be added.

December 20th, 2015

  • Ends at Albert/Bay in the morning.
  • Does not serve Blair Station eastbound in the afternoon.

April 24th, 2016

  • No longer serves Campus Station. Travels via Highway 417 and Nicholas Street between Laurier and east-end stations.

December 25th, 2016

  • Route is combined with Route 130 to become local Route 30.
  • Express premium no longer required.
  • Runs all day between Millennium and Blair Stations.
  • During peak periods the route is extended (to downtown in the morning and from downtown in the afternoon) following current Route 30 routing.
