Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority 4250-4334 were 1969 GMC T6H-5306A buses. In the early 1980s, SEPTA sent most of the fleet to be rebuilt by Blitz Bus & Truck of Chicago. The buses were repainted in SEPTA's new livery, featured blue padded seats, but the air conditioning was removed from the bus. The original two speed transmissions were converted into one speed transmissions.
The majority of these rebuilt buses were assigned out of Germantown and Luzerne garages. [1] These buses displaced many of the Flxible New Looks to other garages, into storage, and several into retirement. The last of these fishbowls were retired in 1989.
