The MCI D-Series is known as the workhorse of the motorcoach industry, and is North America's best-selling coach. The 102-DL3 made its debut in 1990 as MCI's first 45-foot prototype, and began production in 1992. In 1994, a 40-foot version named the 102-D3 replaced the B-Series and C-Series coaches.

102-D3 / 102-DL3

The D-Series started out as the 102-D3 and the 102-DL3. This coach became the industry standard and had a fully paintable body.

D4000 / D4500

The 102-D3 and 102-DL3 later became known as the D4000 / D4500. These coaches were available with stainless steel on the lower body. In 2006, MCI introduced the updated versions of their popular D-series models, the "Classic" (CL) and "Contemporary" (CT) models.

Classic (CL) Models

The CL series feature the same classic D-Series design, but with frameless passenger windows and a slightly different roofline.

Contemporary (CT) Models

The CT series feature a redesigned front incorporating headlights from the G-Series as well as frameless passenger windows.

D4005 / D4505

To continue the D-Series legacy, MCI launched their D4005 and D4505 models. They feature a sleeker front and rear design with frameless windows.
