Albany Street Depot is one of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's 9 depots. It provides the buses for the routes that operate directly west of Boston. The depot is unable to service and store the MBTA's new New Flyer XDE40 buses because of the roof height of the garage so older buses must be assigned to the garage. Albany Street is closed on the weekends, though it is not unheard of for their buses to sometimes enter service on a weekend because of a subway shuttle. Because of the weekend closure issue, Cabot takes over their routes for the weekend.
