This order was entirely for growth expansion: 8 units were budgeted for growth buses, while the remaining 7 buses were budgeted for the 2007 Growth Strategy.
This order was purchased for service expansion.
 
In 2019, all [[MiWay]] [[New Flyer Industries D40LFR|D40LFR]] buses had the seating layout in the low floor section modified in order to provide a larger area for mobility devices and increase standing capacity. This change reduced the seating capacity from 37 to 33 seats.
