American Coach Lines, branded as "American Coach" on buses (not to be confused with American Coach, a luxury RV company), was part of the Southeast division of Coach America, which operated various transportation services in the southeastern United States.

History

American Coach Lines originated as the Southeastern division of Coach USA owned by Stagecoach Group.

In 2003, the Southeastern division was sold to Lincolnshire Management and became American Coach Lines. Various operating subsidiaries were created under this name.

In 2006, American Coach Lines was purchased by Coach America from Lincolnshire Management and became their Southeast division based in Orlando.

In early 2012, Coach America filed for bankruptcy and ceased operations in mid-2012. As a result, operations in Atlanta went to Coach USA. Most other operations were purchased by Transportation Management Services and became Horizon Coach Lines.
