Renfrew is a SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

Located along Renfrew Street between Grandview Highway and Hebb Avenue in Vancouver, the station serves the surrounding residential areas and the nearby Broadway Tech Centre and other offices, as well as an Arts Institute campus adjacent to the station.

The station was designed by Baker McGarva Hart Inc. (now VIA Architecture)[1] and is Rupert's sister station. Both Rupert and Renfrew are the only stations on the SkyTrain network to have offset platforms: they are mirrored versions of each other. Rupert has its entrance facing west while Renfrew has its entrance facing east, with the platform offset being mirrored as well. Renfrew makes use of round steel columns with steel plates to support glue-laminated wood beams that arch over the platform area.[2] Unlike Rupert, Renfrew does not have steel rods above the platforms to support the roof canopies.[3]

Bus Routes

Prior to the opening of Renfrew Station, a bus loop was located near the station called Renfrew Loop located at Broadway and Renfrew, where the short-turn trips would start or terminate for the 9. The loop closed in February 2001.
