The Van Hool CX45E is a 45-foot battery-electric motorcoach that will be available in Canada and the United States. The CX45E made its debut in the fourth quarter of 2019 at Busworld Europe.[1][2]

The CX45E uses Proterra's E2 battery system and can be charged with a J1772-CCS Type-1 plug-in charger. With a 648 kilowatt-hour battery capacity, the coach has a range of approximately 300 kilometres.[2]
