STC is the third yard in the system to have CNG fuelling capabilities, with the others being [[Coast Mountain Bus Company Port Coquitlam Transit Centre|Port Coquitlam Transit Centre]] and [[Coast Mountain Bus Company Hamilton Transit Centre|Hamilton Transit Centre]]. However, STC is the second yard to be retrofitted with CNG fuelling stations as Hamilton was opened with CNG fuelling capabilities. As part of a $12.7 million upgrade, STC was expanded in 2011 with a new fueling facility capable of servicing three buses simultaneously and servicing 60-foot articulated buses in preparation for the [[Coast Mountain Bus Company route 96 'Guildford / Newton Exchange (B-line)'|96 B-Line]]. A new bus wash was also installed to service articulated buses and Community Shuttles that could change the width of the wash to suit different bus sizes using sensors. An adjacent facility is home to the Transit Communications Centre (T-Comm) with its Transit Management and Communications System (TMAC) that was completely rolled out in 2008.  
On September 6, 2021, Community Shuttle operations at STC ended.
