They were one of the first orders delivered with the passenger voice-announcement and display systems by [[INIT]] pre-installed. CCTV cameras were installed in 2011. Compass Card readers were gradually installed starting in late 2012 and through 2013.
Compared to their [[Coast Mountain Bus Company 9601-9699, 9701-9725|2007 counterparts]], these units have vinyl seat covers instead of cloth and the rear doors use sensors instead of bars. The interior layout remains the same. When these units were first delivered, they had a shorter tailpipe with the tops cut at a diagonal angle, as opposed to the longer and angled tailpipes found on the 2007 units. Starting in late 2019, the tailpipes on the 2008 units were retrofitted to the same ones used on 2007 units. The retrofit work was completed by mid 2020.

Unit 9727 is the first 2nd/3rd generation Nova Bus LFS in the fleet to be fitted with a hard barrier, replacing the "shower curtain" installed on all non-barrier buses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The barrier installed on this unit is slightly different than those used on other buses in the fleet (particularly those that were delivered with barriers or were retrofitted with one before 2023) as it features a push lock deadbolt and a dial to engage the locking mechanism in the glass instead of a sliding lock. This design prevents the glass from moving and rattling while driving. The installation was done in February 2023 and gradually expanded to other Burnaby Novas to gather feedback on performance and reliability. This barrier design was installed on all buses in this series by the summer of 2023.

Historically, this entire series was based out of [[Coast Mountain Bus Company North Vancouver Transit Centre|North Vancouver Transit Centre]] (except for units 9726–9728 for most of the early 2010s as they were based out of [[Coast Mountain Bus Company Vancouver Transit Centre|Vancouver]]). As part of a mass reorganization of operations involving the opening of [[Coast Mountain Bus Company Hamilton Transit Centre|Hamilton Transit Centre]], the closure of North Vancouver, and the transfer of all North Vancouver Transit Centre operations to Burnaby, this entire series moved to Burnaby in September 2016.
