Noisemaker
The problem with MLT is that they're constanly using less than amorous structures, and repeat them on all routes now. Ocasionally you may get a good looking Woodstock station or Washago water tower. But in the case of their CN Bala Sub, it's one of their most expensive routes - for a single track mainline pretty well, a handful of fairly decent rolling stock, a smatter of defective activities, and a rehash of scenery items from day one. The tracks are well laid out, and the terrain is fairly accurate... But then so is a Legoland Playset recreation of Yonge & Bloor. Sure it looks good, but man - that's cheesy. And considering that MLT is up against some great Canadian freeware routes such as the London & Port Stanley, CN Blackfoot/Vegreville Sub, Goderich & Exeter, Quebec & Charlevoix, Longeuil & Sorel, and I'm sure a few more. It's becoming embarrasing that a Canadian company can have the audacity without shame to charge such a high price for the privilage of paying more for additional rolling stock from Ed's Trains towards a modest and ill working route that won't be upgraded or fixed in any way in future. I really hope they can prove me wrong, but given their 'track record'...
