Mr. Linsky Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Seen below in a photo taken sometime in the early fifties is fleet # 118 - a 1947 GM TDH 4507 and one of five (116 to 118 & 134 & 135) delivered to the DeCamp Interstate Transit Company (DBA DeCamp Bus Lines) at Clifton, New Jersey in February of that year. If # 118 seems a bit strange looking it's because it's one of only a handful of the 3,045 4507's built between 1946 and 1948 to have a single door, parcel racks, no standee glasses and no front floor vents but with standard transit seating. # 118 was snapped at one of DeCamp's Jersey depots along with a glimpse of a company TDH 4509 in full suburban dress in the background and is signed for it's run from Monticello in Sullivan County to Manhattan - one of DeCamp's many commuter routes to the city from Northern, New Jersey and lower New York state.
