For one day in December 2016, some units made appearances on [[Coast Mountain Bus Company Port Coquitlam Transit Centre|Port Coquitlam Transit Centre]] routes to address a sudden bus shortage caused by cracked axle beams on many of the [[Coast Mountain Bus Company 3309-3358|3300]]-series buses based from that depot. Due to challenges with bus operators being not familiar with the different operations with Nova Bus coaches (as Port Coquitlam historically does not have Nova Bus units, minus demonstrator units in the past), coaches on loan were immediately transferred back to their home depots and swapped for other units instead such as New Flyer's D40LF and XN40 models the following day.
After an initial trial on the [[Coast Mountain Bus Company 9726-9791|9726–9791]] series Novas, hard barriers were installed replacing the "shower curtain" installed on all non-barrier buses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Installation work was done on this series in the summer of 2023.
