Saskatoon Municipal Railway

The Saskatoon Municipal Railway was the provider of public transit in Saskatoon, SK. Streetcar service started on January 1, 1913, and all operations were transferred to Saskatoon Transit System in 1950.

Preservation

A number of SMR vehicles have either been preserved or repurposed as chicken coops, storage sheds, or cabins.

Greyed out units have been torn down, scrapped, parted out, or are beyond repair (and are being used as a pattern for a future replica). See notes for further details.

Highlighted units have either been restored or are currently under restoration.

Streetcars

16 units survived after abandonment of the system. Only 14 of those exist today.[1]
