Great Lakes Transit Corporation

Great Lakes Transit Corporation was an agency based in Birmingham, Michigan which provided service to the northern and Downriver suburbs of Detroit, including Wyandotte, Trenton, Southfield, Birmingham, Roseville, Pontiac and Mount Clemens. Today, Great Lakes Transit Corporation routes are serviced by Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation's 1xx, 4xx and 5xx routes.

History

• Predecessor operator was Great Lakes Greyhound Lines from 1941-1958.
• Acquired Wyandotte Loop Bus Company on November 30, 1964.
• Southeastern Michigan Transportation Authority acquired Great Lakes Transit Corporation on April 1, 1974.
