The BYD Auto K8SR is a 10.2-metre right-hand drive battery-electric double deck transit bus. The K8SR was unveiled at Busworld 2015 and built as a testbed for battery-electric double deck buses in London. They were operated by Metroline until November 2020, when they were passed onto Uno.

The buses use BYD lithium-ion iron-phosphate batteries with a capacity of 340 kilowatt hours and come with a 12 year battery warranty. They K8SR has a range of up to 190 miles (300 kilometres) in an urban environment. The batteries can be recharged in four hours.[1]

Early press material and renderings called the K8SR the K10. BYD had previously built a 12 metre double deck prototype in 2012 that was called the K10. The early rendering of the K8SR resembled this prototype, but was shorter in length. As built, the K8SR has a more square appearance.
