Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District 1001-1131 is wheelchair accessible.

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District 1001-1131 are 2003-2004 model Van Hool A330 buses built in 2002-2003. The buses were paid entirely with local funds in order to avoid conforming to Buy America. When AC Transit had its own funding shortfall, 29 buses were sold to DC Circulator. Those units remained on AC Transit's property for 6 months or more. Many units were retrofitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF)'s, which required new tailpipes.[1] They are currently being retired, starting in 2017. 37 units remain active as of December 2020.
