York Region Transit 601, 606 were 1981 Grumman Flxible 870 (40102-6) buses. They were originally delivered to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, and were acquired from Vaughan Transit during amalgamation in 2001.

601 and 606 were part of a group of Grumman Flxible buses acquired by National Refurbishing in the mid-1990s. These units were previously on long-term lease to Transit Windsor; following their return, they were leased again to Vaughan Transit in 1998/1999 until 2001.
