The 728 was a 32 passenger rear engine transit bus built by Yellow Coach. It featured a rear engine which was mounted transversely. A ramped floor chassis was available in 1936.

In 1936, changes were a strengthened front end, redesigned rear end for easier removal of engine/transmission and improved manual shifter.

In 1938, changes were a revised rear end to accommodate the GM 479/GM 529 engines and improved interior lighting.

1,156 units were built from 1935-39.
