Voith DIWA.6

The Voith DIWA.6 is an automatic transmission for buses. It was introduced in September 2010 at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany. The DIWA.6 is designed to handle Euro 6 engines, which started being used in 2014. With new electronic controls, the DIWA.6 boasts a reduction of up to 5% fuel consumption. And with a redesigned ribbed housing, a reduction in noise as well.

In North America, Voith introduced the DIWA.6 for natural gas powered buses in 2014, replacing the Voith DIWA.5 over the course of the following year. The DIWA.6 was introduced on diesel powered buses in concert with the GHG17 emission standard in 2017.
