The Van Hool A330 is an 40 foot (12m) bus model was devloped by Van Hool in 1997. It has a full low floor, option for three doors, and has the engine mounted on the rear left corner of the bus. In 2001 the A330 along with the other A300 Series of buses were redesigned. The word "New" was added before the model name to signify the redesign. In 2004 the A330 was made available for the North American market until 2008, when it was replaced by the A300L.

Even though the A330's engine compartment is cool by a side mounted cooling system, some agencies choose to have the distincitive front hood on the roof which on other models houses the engine cooling system.

A fuell cell powered A330 was unveiled in Europe in 2007. It has an extra rear axle and full lengh roof enclosure housing the fuel clell and HVAC. The North American version, also introduced in 2007, has two axles.
