Mirokulol (vivablue5215 in CPTDB) is a university student and a transit enthusiast in Markham, Ontario. His home transit system is York Region Transit, where his home routes include 9 9th Line, 18 Bur Oak, 85 Rutherford-16th, 201 Markham GO Shuttle, and 303 Bur Oak Express.

History

vivablue5215, as known in CPTDB, has been notified of the CPTDB website since January 2006, but due to personal issues which would not be revealed, delayed his registration until September 2006.

When vivablue5215 moved to Toronto in 1997, his home route was the 100 Flemingdon Park bus, which he saw evolved from a moderate capacity route to a Sunday crushloader. Some of the retro buses (namely, the D800B) were in the last years of service, and vivablue5215 managed to catch one of those in one of their last maiden voyages before retirement. Also, he managed to catch some of the last few survivors of the M1, H1, and H2 subways before they were all retired after 2000-2002.

During his North York times, vivablue5215 rode several different types of buses on the 100, including the D800Bs, D901s, Fishbowls, and, most notably, the RTSes.

In 2002, vivablue5215 moved to Northwest Markham, in the Cachet Woods community. He attended Unionville High School in 2005, which is widely recognized as one of the top secondary schools in the Greater Toronto Area (and Ontario), and graduated in 2009 with five awards. He is currently attending the University of Waterloo.

In 2010, vivablue5215 moved to Cornell Village, where he currently resides.

vivablue5215 is a member of the Toronto Transportation Society and a member of the Waterloo Students Planning Advisory.

TransferPoint Project

One of vivablue5215's proudest projects is the TransferPoint project. vivablue5215, along with YRTeen, yrt304, and Waiting For 30 Minutes, created a joint gallery in July 2009, named TransferPoint. This gallery is meant for sharing our quality photos that we have taken throughout various transit systems. We would also like to give special credits to hl7534 for paying the costs for this year to upgrade to a Pro flickr account, therefore allowing us to display unlimited amounts of photos and videos. TransferPoint expanded in October 2009 to include Enzo Aquarius, DJ.SURF.LFS, and Canadian National. A third expansion added M. David to our team (at the expense of losing Canadian National), and recently ttcgeek has contributed his photos to the gallery as well.

TransferPoint also hosts charters every so often, mainly vehicles that are due for retirement in the near future. So far we have chartered two buses from York Region Transit: A 1991 ex-Markham Orion V #2053 and a 2002 Thomas SLF-235 #203, along with a 1987 ex-Kitchener MCI Classic #8801 from Grand River Transit.

Some future developments for TransferPoint include opening our own server, which will allow us to display other information you might not find anywhere else, along with our traditional galleries of various transit systems, and a charter website that is currently under construction.

Contributions To CPTDB Wiki

vivablue5215 has been one of the early contributors to the CPTDB Wiki. He helped create route pages for the York Region Transit, Toronto Transit Commission, and Grand River Transit sections, along with providing photos to add to the fleet pages. Recently he has cut back the use of the wiki, to make way for his university education. However, he still occasionally contributes to the wiki when he has time.
