King George is a SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

Located at King George Boulevard north of Fraser Highway, King George is one of the eastern terminus stations of the Expo Line (the other being Production Way–University). The station provides access to the adjacent Holland Park and nearby residential areas. Surrey Memorial Hospital is also located nearby. In recent years, there's been an increase in mixed-use developments around the station.

The King George Development Corporation, which owned and developed the eight-hectare site around the station, contributed $6 million to the construction of the station.[1]

On April 27, 2024, the station closed for infrastructure upgrades and maintenance works. The work required the full closure of the station as the tracks had to be completely dismantled as part of the replacement of two turnouts that dated back to 1992. All buses that usually terminate at King George Station extended to Surrey Central. An extra replacement bus service also ran on weekdays between 6 and 9 a.m. from King George to Surrey Central only. Work is expected to last six weeks.

Bike Parkade

King George's Bike Parkade was the second Bike Parkade to open in the system. The facility opened on July 6, 2015,[2] and was designed by the Carscadden Stokes McDonald Architects Inc. firm based in Vancouver.[3]

The Bike Parkade is constructed with high-strength glass and perforated metal panels to conform with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design standards. The roof of the structure uses Cross-laminated Timber made from locally sourced materials.

Bus Routes
