Route Details

This route connects York University, Finch Station, Scarborough Centre Station and Morningside Heights. It services the York University Busway, Finch Avenue between Dufferin Street and Morningside Avenue, Mantis Road, Nightstar Road, Morningside Avenue between Nightstar Road and Oasis Boulevard, Oasis Boulevard between Morningside Avenue and Seasons Drive, Seasons Drive, Staines Road, and McCowan Road between Finch Avenue and Triton Road, making express stops along the route at major intersections except east of McCowan Road. Its western terminal is Finch Station for the 199A and 199C branch and York University for the 199B branch and the eastern terminal is Scarborough Centre Station for the 199A and 199B branch and Morningside Heights for the 199C branch.
Branch 199B only operates during the day and early evening on weekdays. Branch 199C only operates during the rush hour on weekdays.
History
- October 12, 2010 - Route created after the cancellation of 39E Finch East.
- September 1, 2013 - Sunday service added.
- March 27, 2016 - Route reorganized to extend service to York University and Morningside Heights. Two new branches added which are the 199B (York University - Scarborough Centre Station) and 199C (Finch Station - Morningside Heights).
