Route Details

This route services Victoria Park Avenue between Denton Avenue and Steeles Avenue East as well as the commercial area along Consumers Road. There is one southern terminal, which is Victoria Park Station. Northern terminals include Steeles Avenue East for 24A and Don Mills Station for 24B. Branch 24B only operates during the day on weekdays.
History
- November 24, 2002 - With the opening of the new Sheppard subway, service on the 24A branch to Consumers Road is extended to Don Mills Station which replaces the 85C Sheppard East branch. In addition, the 24C and 24D branches are replaced by the 224C and 224D Victoria Park North branches which operate from Don Mills Station over the existing routing.
- September 7, 2004 - Due to unacceptable financial performance, weekday off-peak service on the 224 Victoria Park North route is replaced with the 24D branch. Service on the 224 Victoria Park North route will only operate during the rush hours on weekdays.
- June 24, 2013 - At the request of York Region Transit, service on the 24D branch into the commercial area west of Woodbine Avenue between Lanark Road and Hooper Road is discontinued. Service will now operate both ways on Woodbine Avenue.
- June 22, 2014 - Due to a system-wide reorganization of route branch designations, branch 24A to Don Mills Station via Consumers is changed to 24B.
- May 10, 2015 - Northbound branch 24 to Steeles is redesignated 24A.
- March 27, 2016 - As part of the TTC's initiative to expand the Express Bus Network, new peak-period express service on branch 24E begins. Service operates express between Victoria Park Station to Steeles Avenue East stopping only at major intersections.
- June 17, 2016 - At the request of York Region Transit, service in York Region on the 24D branch is discontinued. Service is replaced by York Region Transit route 24 Woodbine and operates over the former 224D routing.
- October 9, 2018 - 24E Express branch eliminated and renamed to 924 Victoria Park Express
