History
Order
These buses were delivered in the maroon and cream livery, but with a new cream and brown interior. The TTC elected to test fibreglass seats with this order and specified the American Seating Model 6463. These buses would be the first TTC buses built at GMDD's new plant in St-Eustache, QC, rather than the London, ON plant previous orders were built at.
Rebuild/Retirement
Buses were given the "CLRV" livery during their mid-life overhaul in the 1980s. As part of a fleet-wide retrofit, the buses had their rollsigns replaced with Luminator Matrix:MAX flip-dot signs in the early 1990s.
Many of these buses received an 18-year rebuild as part of the Heavy Rebuild Program, and were numbered into the 2000-2110 series. All units received their body and mechanical rebuilds between 1997 and 2000 at the same time and were renumbered as per the order of rebuilding.
