San Francisco MUNI 9211-9212

San Francisco MUNI 9211-9212 were 2001 Neoplan USA AN440LF CNG buses. The buses were purchased circa 2002 as part of a compromise to test alternate fuels and at the same time allow MUNI to exercise an option with Neoplan to purchase more coaches. They were both initially delivered in MUNI's "SEPTA" livery . The buses were occasionally used in service in 2003, but were stored afterward.
