Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) is the primary transit agency for the City of Petersburg, VA.

History

Routes

Petersburg Area Transit operates 11 routes that serve the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, and Ft. Lee. Service on these routes are provided Monday thru Thursday from 5:45 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday from 5:45 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:45 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. There is no Sunday or Holiday service. Routes typically have headways of 30-60 minutes.

The Petersburg Area Transit operations offices are located at 309 Fairgrounds Road, Petersburg, VA 23803.

Petersburg Transit Center

The Petersburg Transit Center is located at 100 Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. It opened in 2010 and provides connections to all Petersburg Area Transit routes as well as the GRTC Transit System and Greyhound. It is open from 8:30am-5pm.
