OC Transpo 4203-4273 are New Flyer D40i buses built and delivered in 2004.
Modifications
Originally the pull cord went right to the back of the bus on both sides but many have been shortened to end at the second-to-last seat. As well the air vents above the seats were originally a slotted design but some have been retrofitted with the single vent design of the later orders. This series of buses plus 4201-4202 got the front door interlock removed in 2010.
Refurbishment
Starting in 2014 and over the next four years, these units will be refurbished. The refurbishment will include structural frame repairs, replacing powertrain, replacing brakes, suspension repairs, replacing passenger and operator seats and exterior repainting.[1]
