The Optare Olympus is a low floor double deck bus body. It was introduced in 2006 by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. Optare inherited the Olympus from the Darwen Group, which had purchased East Lancs in 2007.

The Olympus was constructed with Alcan's “System 5430” aluminium alloy extruded sections. The roof and intermediate roof structures are constructed from Alcan's Airex foam composite to reduce overall vehicle weight.

The Olympus was available on the Alexander Dennis Enviro400, Scania N230UD, and Volvo B9TL chassis. The tri-axle Olympus on the Volvo B9TL was introduced in 2009 with Tyrers in Adlington, England.[1] In September 2009, Optare announced that an integral model would be made available.[2] It was expected to enter production in September 2010.[3] Optare instead focused on development of a new integral double deck model, the Optare MetroDecker, which was launched in 2014.
