The New Flyer Industries XHE60 is a hydrogen fuel cell, low floor articulated transit bus from the Xcelsior line. The bus was developed with a grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) administered by CALSTART and is part of the National Fuel Cell Bus Program. The XHE60 made its debut on April 22, 2016. AC Transit was the first to operate the bus. The first commercial order for the XHE60 was placed by the Champaign Urbana Mass Transit District in September of 2017, for two buses to be delivered in 2019.

The rear axle of the XHE60 is driven by a Siemens electric motor and the middle axle is driven by hub motors with electricity stored in batteries and generated from Ballard's FCmove-HD hydrogen fuel cell. Batteries capture the braking energy and provides further power for the bus's acceleration. Because the hydrogen tanks take up some of the space on the roof, some of the batteries are located inside the bus around the joint.

Initially, the XHE60 used Ballard's seventh generation FCveloCity hydrogen fuel cell. It had a range of 350 miles.

In September 2022, New Flyer introduced their next generation fuel cell bus: the Xcelsior CHARGE FC. It uses the more compact and robust Ballard FCmove-HD hydrogen fuel cell. The integrated design houses all subcomponents in a single enclosure and is smaller, lighter, and uses fewer parts. The battery enclosure uses a lighter, simplified design. More efficient batteries allow for a range of 370 miles.
