The New Flyer Industries D35 later known as the D35HF, was a transit bus sold in Canada and the United States between 1988 and 1996. It was introduced after the D40 and shared much of its design. AC Transit was the first operator to take delivery of the D35.
The D35 used a tubular steel structure. This, along with fibreglass body panels, helped reduce the vehicle's weight. Wheel housings were stainless steel, as were the stepwells, though they could also be fibreglass. The bus was offered with either a T-drive or V-drive powertrain configuration, with anti-corrosion paint and clad with fiberglass paneling.
