Milliken GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station is located just south of Steeles Avenue East between Redlea Drive and Silver Star Boulevard.
History
Milliken GO Station was originally a much smaller facility located in Markham, on the north side of Steeles. The small 5-car platform extended north from Steeles on the east side of the tracks, and had a small kiosk for ticket vending. This facility had no room for parking and the platform could not be extended (as it was on a curve). GO took the opportunity to acquire parking space south of Steeles in Toronto from a former Canadian Tire and built a new full-length and accessible platform with a walkway connecting to Steeles Avenue East, a proper station building, and a parking lot with 680 spaces on the new site. This new station opened on September 6, 2005.
Station description
The station platform extends south from Steeles Avenue East on the west side of the tracks, past the station building, pickup/dropoff area, and the station parking lot. The station platform can be accessed from a walkway running south from Steeles Avenue East or through the parking lot from Redlea Drive.
Tickets can be purchased from the station attendant inside the building only during AM rush hours. Ticket Vending Machines on the station premises are available at all other times.
