Charlestown Depot is one of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's 9 depots. Charlestown is the MBTA's largest garage, housing more buses and operating more routes than any other garage, partially thanks to the extra work it picks up from the garages that close over the weekend. Charlestown is unique in that though it is one facility, it is split into two "districts", the first being Charleston and the other Bennett or Somerville. Buses are not assigned to one division in particular. Charlestown (District) provides the buses for some of the routes that operate Cambridge and the northern suburbs of Boston. Bennett/Somerville provides the buses for the routes in Boston's central-Northwestern suburbs (Not directly NW).

Address: 21 Arlington Ave., Charlestown, MA 02129
Total Peak Vehicle Requirement: 146 (68 for Charlestown, 78 for Bennett/Somerville)
