Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority 4500-4695 are Neoplan USA AN440 CNG buses manufactured in 1995 and 1996. These are LACMTA's first buses to run on CNG; LACMTA had previously experimented with other fuel types before settling on CNG for this and virtually all subsequent bus orders. Currently, most of the 1995-1996 Neoplan fleet remains in service, although roughly sixty have been retired.
These buses can be found at LACMTA divisions 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, and 15.
