Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority 3000-3019 are 1998 New Flyer D40LF buses. This order was originally an order for Citizens Area Transit (CAT) of Las Vegas, NV which was later rejected by CAT. As a result, they have black window frames and an interior completely different from the rest of LACMTA's buses. These are the last diesel buses to be owned and operated by the LACMTA, contracted buses notwithstanding.

This order was originally an order for Citizens Area Transit (CAT) of Las Vegas, NV which was later rejected by CAT. As a result, they have black window frames and an interior completely different from the rest of LACMTA's buses.
These buses can be found at LACMTA division 6 as well as on Veolia Transportation's contracted route 96. Division 6's buses are generally able to be found during rush hours, although they occasionally operate at other times as well.

These are the last diesel buses to be owned and operated by the LACMTA, contracted buses notwithstanding.
