This article is a list of all of the Réseau de transport de la Capitale's routes, along with a brief explanation on each type of route.

Note: all destination names are listed in their original French name, as given by the RTC's website.

Metrobus routes

Metrobus routes are the RTC's rapid transit service. They are the core of Quebec city's public transit system. They are designed to provide service to commercial areas, government buildings, and large population centres, and circulate on bus lanes throughout the majority of their course.

Routes 800 and 801 circulate on the same roads for approximately 40% of their course, from downtown Quebec all the way through the Marly terminus at Pointe-de-Sainte-Foy.

801 Charlesbourg Terminus du Zoo Pointe-de-Sainte-Foy

Regular routes

leBus service logo

Regular routes (marketed as leBus by the RTC) are routes designed to provide service to population centres by circulating through residential areas and local boulevards. While the majority of them are offered 7 days a week, a handful were created specifically for industrial workers and such, and are not offered during weekends (those routes are indicated by a light gray row in the table below). In addition, routes in the 100 series are accelerated versions of their regular counterparts (e.g. 111 is an accelerated 11) and do not operate on weekends. Those are indicated by a light blue background in the table.

Destinations in italics only receive service on weekdays during rush hours.

Sometimes, the RTC will truncate certain routes. Usually the truncated version of a route immediately precedes the departure of a regular version of the route (between 2 and 5 minutes before). Those departures are rarely announced in bus schedules.

In practice, when a bus operates on a truncated route, its indicator panel only indicates the route number with an X next to it and the route name is Parcours raccourci ("truncated route"); the route number cardboard in the windscreen is flipped over to show the 'X' side, and next to it is another piece cardboard with the bus' destination written on it.

Express routes

eXpress service logo

Express routes (marketed as eXpress by the RTC) are routes designed to connect students and workers from the suburbs of Quebec City to their workplace or school establishment either in downtown Quebec (200 series) or the Sainte-Foy area (300 series). As a general rule, express routes have the majority of their morning departures towards Quebec/Sainte-Foy, and most of their afternoon departures towards the suburbs, though there are exceptions. Some express routes in the 300 series even offer a single departure around 9 PM, to accomodate students with evening classes.

Generally, express route numerotation tends to follow the regular route numerotation (i.e. routes 277 and 377 loosely correspond regular route 77).
