Kingston Transit route 6 is an accessible route operated by Kingston Transit in the city of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Route Details

Route 6 starts at the Cataraqui Centre in Kingston's west end. From there, it travels west on Princess Street, then south on Bayridge Drive, then east on Taylor-Kidd Boulevard, and then south on Gardiners Road through retail areas to the Gardiners Centre, at the intersection of Gardiners Road & Bath Road.

From there, it travels west on Bath Road to MacEwen Drive, then travels south along MacEwen Drive and Lakeview Avenue through the Reddendale residential area to Front Road. It then travels west along Front Road to St. Lawrence College, its terminus.

Route 6 interlines with routes 1 and 14 on evenings and Sundays.

Schedule

The route runs from 6:00am to 11:00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 8:30am to 8:00pm on Sundays. It has a 30 minute frequency on Monday-Saturday prior to about 7pm, at which point it drops to 60 minute frequency. It also runs at 60 minute frequency on Sundays.

The scheduled travel time is 30 minutes from end to end--15 minutes from the Cataraqui Centre to the Gardiners Centre, and then 15 minutes from the Gardiners Centre to St. Lawrence College.

History
