This route is a heavily used corridor route. The route travels between the Scotia Square Bus Terminal in Downtown Halifax, to the Sackville Terminal in Lower Sackville via the Bedford Highway. The route was implemented as part of Halifax Transit's Moving Forward Together Plan. It was designed to replace former route 80 Sackville. As it is a corridor route, it provides high service during to main arteries of the city during the day.
