Edmonton International Airport (IATA: YEG) is the central airport of Edmonton, Alberta and the fifth busiest airport in all of Canada, serving as the northern hub for Canadian aircraft activity. Edmonton International serves as a hub or focus city for many airlines, along with operating as a connecting airport for northern flights.

Terminal

Edmonton International Airport consists of one terminal split into two operations: domestic/international and United States. Flights to the United States are operated out of the domestic terminal after 7 PM.

Domestic/International

The Domestic/International portion of the terminal includes all gates except the southern portion of the terminal. The Domestic/International portion of the main terminal includes 20 gates.

United States

The United States departures portion of the terminal encompasses the southern portion of the main terminal. US departures uses 8 gates.

Edmonton International Airport has five car-rental agencies on-site: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National/Alamo.

Parking

The airport has four parking lots available. The executive parkades and easy parkades are located in a parking garage located in front of the terminal, with the value parking lot located behind it. The jetSet lot is located a few minutes away with terminal access via a 24 hour shuttle. As well, Vancouver offers a cell phone parking lot near the jetSet lot and a cell phone pickup lot near the terminal, allowing drivers to pick up passengers at the airport. Valet parking services are also available. The fares for the lots are as follows:

Taxi

Edmonton International Airport taxi services use a zone system when operating within the Edmonton, Leduc and Nisku areas. Zone rates only apply to trips from YEG to a zone and only for the first passenger. Meter rates apply outside of the zoned system and for multiple passengers.[3]
