Route Details
This route provided overnight north-south service and was the only route that did not service Downtown Vancouver. The route operated between approximately 1:30AM to 4:00AM with the final trip having left Nanaimo Street at Hastings by 3:30AM.
This was a north-south NightBus route running in Vancouver, running as a midway connection between the N19 and N35, running between Earles Street & Kingsway and Nanaimo Street & E. Hastings Street. Service ran daily every 30 minutes in the late-night hours in lieu of regular 16 29th Avenue Station/Arbutus service. This was the only NightBus route to not service Downtown Vancouver.

The route began on Nanaimo Street at East Hastings Street and looped onto Renfrew Street by Nanaimo and McGill. It took Renfrew Street southbound, Boyd Diversion to get onto Nootka Steet and East 29th Avenue to stop at 29th Avenue SkyTrain Station. The route then left the station by 29th Avenue, took Earles Street southbound and terminated on Earles at Kingsway by looping around Horley Street, Moss onto Kingsway. Northbound trips (N16 Renfrew–Hastings) headed down Earles Street from Kingsway and stopped by 29th Avenue SkyTrain Station before it continued down Nootka, Boyd and Renfrew. It terminated by turning on Hastings at Renfrew westbound and then onto Nanaimo.
Northbound trips departed from Earles Street & Kingsway heading north on Earles and west on E. 29th Avenue to 29th Avenue Station. Continuing from 29th Avenue Station, trips went east on E. 29th Avenue, north on Nootka Street becoming Boyd Diversion and Renfrew Street, west on E. Hastings Street, and north on Nanaimo Street to Nanaimo & E. Hastings Street.

The N16 paralleled portions of the 16 29th Avenue Station/Arbutus.
Southbound trips departed from Naniamo Street & E. Hastings Street heading north on Nanaimo becoming McGill Street heading east, south on Renfrew Street becoming Boyd Diversion and Nootka Street, and west on E. 29th Avenue to 29th Avenue Station. Continuing from 29th Avenue Station, trips went east on E. 29th Avenue, south on Earles Street, east on Holey Street, south on Moss Street, west on Kingsway, and north on Earles Street to Earles & Kingsway.
