Route Details
This is a north-south route connecting New Westminster Station and Lougheed Station running primarily on Columbia Street. Service runs daily every hour, increasing to every 30–35 minutes during peak hours.
Northbound trips depart New Westminster Station heading east on Carnarvon Street, south on Eighth Street, east on Columbia Street, west on Richmond Street, south on Jamieson Court, looping around at the end of the street and returning north, then west on Richmond Street, east on Cumberland Street, north on E. Columbia Street becoming North Road, west on Gatineau Place to Lougheed Station.
Southbound trips depart Lougheed Station heading east on Gatineau Place, south on North Road becoming E. Columbia Street, east on Cumberland Street, south on Richmond Street, south on Jamieson Court, looping around at the end of the street and returning north, then east on Richmond Street, south on Columbia Street to New Westminster Station.

History
- April 2011 - Route introduced replacing the New West Station to Lougheed Station portion of the 112 Edmonds Station/Lougheed Station[1]
- April 2016 - Routing through Sapperton area revised: Service introduced on Richmond Street on an interim trial basis and Jamieson Court service introduced in both directions instead of on northbound trips only[2]
- September 2016 - Service on Richmond Street made permanent and to run in both directions following the introduction of transit priority signal at Cumberland Street & E. Columbia Street. Service introduced further north on Richmond Street and on Cumberland Street and service on Columbia Street between Richmond and Cumberland streets discontinued[3]
- September 2018 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: route renumbered from C9 to 109 with no changes in routing or frequency[4]
