Together with the 606 Ladner Ring, the 606 provides an afternoon clockwise service and the 608 a counterclockwise morning service. During other times, service is run by the 616 Ladner South/Ladner Exchange and 618 Ladner North/Ladner Exchange.

- October 1975 - Off-peak service revised as 308 Tsawwassen Ring providing service from Ladner Exchange running clockwise and counterclockwise except during peak hours when it ran as the 608 Ladner Ring FastBUS. Clockwise loop ran as 308 Ladner Ring out via 44th Ave. leaves Ladner Exchange via 57th St., 48B Ave., access road, Ladner Trunk Road, 57th St., 44th Ave., Arthur, 45th Ave., 46A St., River, 47A Ave., Delta, Ladner Trunk Road, Central, 52nd Ave., 57th St., 48B Ave., access road, Ladner Trunk Road, 57th St. to Ladner Exchange. Anticlockwise loop ran as 308 Ladner Ring out via 52nd Ave. leaves Ladner Exchange via 57th Ave., 52nd Ave., Central, Ladner Trunk Road, Delta, 47A Ave., River, 46A St., 45th Ave., Arthur, 44th Ave., 57th St. to Ladner Exchange[2]
- May 1984 - Destination sign simplification: Service renamed from 608 Ladner Ring to 608 Ladner Ring/Vancouver[3]
- March 1985 - Service extended to 44B/Savoy Avenue and service renumbered based on direction[4]

- March 1990 - Service proposed to be extended to route via 57th Street, 52nd Avenue, Crescent Drive, Westminster Avenue, Linden Drive and Central Avenue[6]
- December 1992 - Routing revised to service Marina Garden Estates in North Ladner; service on Central Avenue and 52nd Avenue between Linden Drive and Crescent Drive discontinued[7]
- July 1995 - Trips leaving Ladner Exchange revised to operate as 601 Vancouver after finishing as 608 Ladner Ring at Ladner Exchange to alleviate overcrowding on the 601[8]
- December 2005 - Saturday service discontinued and replaced by the C86 Ladner South/Ladner Exchange and C88 Ladner North/Ladner Exchange
- May 2017 - Service proposed to only service North Ladner and extend north from Ladner Exchange to Bridgeport Station and run during both AM and PM peak periods with service revised to go via Admiral Way[9]
