Route Details
This is a north-south route connecting Burnaby Town Centre/Metrotown and Simon Fraser University. As well, it provides Burnaby residents with connections to the Expo Line and Millennium Line.
The route leaves Metrotown Station along Central Boulevard eastbound taking Bonsor, Bennett, Nelson and then Dover Street. It continues along Dover becoming Oakland Street at Royal Oak and becoming Burris Street at Walker Avenue. It heads north onto Canada Way from Burris, south along Sperling, Deer Lake Avenue and Deer Lake Place northward. The route runs north along Deer Lake Place becoming Norland Avenue at Canada Way and taking Sprott Street east and then Kensington Avenue northbound. From Kensington the route takes the off-ramp onto Sperling and the Sperling SkyTrain Station. It exits the station taking Sperling northbound, Kensington, Broadway and onto Duthie Avenue where it turns east on Burnaby Mountain Parkway. It uses Gaglardi Way, University Drive East and East Campus Road to arrive at SFU Exchange.
Southbound trips leave the Exchange along University High Street, Tower Road, South Campus Road, Gaglardi and University Drive West to Burnaby Mountain Parkway.
One early morning weekday southbound trip begins at Duthie Avenue at Hastings Street and several AM peak hour southbound trips begin at Burnaby City Hall, both with no changes to routing.
On weekdays, seven trips (2 morning, 5 afternoon) operate on an alternate routing near Metrotown Station, with most trips interlining with added peak hour trips on the 116 Edmonds Station/Metrotown Station. The trips operate via regular route until Nelson, west on Kingsway, south on McKay, east on Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station instead of south on Nelson, west on Bennett becoming Bonsor, and west on Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station.
